Elk, Moose, Wolf and Bears Oh My!
After driving the RV through the narrow roads of Yellowstone yesterday, we decided to do a guided “Yellowstone in a Day” tour. It was an amazing 10-hour tour that started at 7:45 and took us to every major sight in the 2.2 million acre Park, from more geysers, mud pots, and hot springs in the southern part to the Mammoth historic area in the north. The eastern region had the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and beautiful waterfalls throughout and also included Yellowstone Lake (largest lake in Wyoming) and the Lake Hotel, which is the oldest in the Park dating to the 1880s.
We saw lots of wildlife, from a grizzly bear to a moose to many bison to elk to deer to birds, and we also had a very rare sighting of a wolf from one of the ten wild wolf packs that were reintroduced into Yellowstone in the late 1990s.
Rather than write more, we will let the pictures and videos do the talking today …
