Manitou Springs Memories

After waking up to the cool, 60 degree Colorado temperatures, we headed south two hours through Denver and Colorado Springs to set up at the base of Pikes Peak. We waited out the thunderstorms at the indoor pool next to the campground.

Late afternoon, we took the free town shuttle up to the shops and cafes of Manitou Springs. We ate at Manitou Brewing and then stopped by the local ice cream shop to try out their spin on Moose Tracks.

David has been reading every night to Maggie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Since they finished the book last night, Maggie ended the perfect day watching the movie.
