Down on the Farm

For our last morning in La Fortuna, we helped out on the farm at our hotel. Maggie milked the cow, rode Coffee and collected triple the number of eggs of anyone else. She wanted to get every last one of them. At the farm, there were sheep, donkeys, horses, peacocks, turkeys, guineas, other exotic birds I didn’t learn about in my Poultry Science class at Virginia Tech and a cute little pig. Fernando picked us up for our four hour drive back to Tamarindo. I asked Fernando if he could stop at the airport to see if David could get his required COVID test the day before he left. Fernando went out of his way to find a clinic that had cheaper tests, called the clinic to see if they would take David and made an appointment. He drove us right up to the front door of the clinic and went in with David to make sure everything went well. I can’t believe how nice everyone is here! We ended our last day watching the sunset and then eating at an Italian restaurant that Maggie picked out.
