Riding and Rhythm
In Costa Rica, Monday is fun day. We started our day off with great breakfast sandwiches, smoothies and smoothie bowls. Maggie has been eyeing a pretty dress for me which she had to buy. It is a perfect Costa Rican dress as a bathing suit coverup. Another hot day kept us inside until we were off to Black Stallion Ranch for horseback riding and dinner. Rudy, our driver, took us out to the ranch through traffic and a rocky, dirt road. When we made it to the ranch, the owner Alex, his orange cat Ginger and boxer named Jack greeted us. I am pretty sure Maggie is going to meet every pet in Tamarindo before we leave. After it cooled down a little, we mounted our noble steeds and trekked around the property up and down hills of the jungle like setting. Maggie wanted to ride by herself on Blackie, but soon got scared in the first part of the adventure and hopped on Lucy with me. At the end of the ride, Maggie tried Blackie again by herself and did great. We came back to relax while Maggie learned to play pool and met some new friends, also in their 20s. After an amazing BBQ dinner of grilled fish, pork, BBQ chicken, strip steaks, four types of salad and ice cream for dessert, Maggie and David kept the beat for the band while the crowd sang and danced. Since David tipped Rudy so well on the trip up, he came back to find us to take us home. Another fun night to always remember.
