NashVegas Fun

After a fun night at the Opry, the only thing that can get us out of bed is a trip to a James Beard Outstanding Bakery Semifinalist. D’Andrews Bakery and Cafe never disappoints with the fresh breakfast sandwiches and the multiple options of chocolate pastries for breakfast. After we were full, Maggie and I explored the Adventure Science Center where we learned about the body, physics, space, and music. David, Dave, Chris and Bob headed over to the Nashville Barrel Company to do a special bourbon tasting and barrel pick with the owner and master taster. We all grabbed a filling BBQ lunch at Martin’s, said our goodbyes and then we headed west to Memphis. We stopped by David’s old stomping grounds in Jackson, where David lived most of his childhood. His house looks the same, only missing a couple of trees and the basketball goal.
