It’s Now or Never

Graceland

While in Memphis, we rocked and rolled over to Graceland to see the legend himself. The estate was impressive with the rooms still decorated, more memorabilia than you can imagine, and the spirit of Elvis everywhere. The museum ranged from old cars, to cool clothes, to movies we have forgotten about and everything you can imagine. Maggie had fun dancing to the music and was a really good sport in learning more about Elvis than she ever wanted to know.

Memphis to Little Rock

Crossing over the Mississippi River (video below), we entered into Arkansas. First stop, Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock. David was part of President Clinton’s campaign advancement team in ‘92, so this library is special. Maggie was our acting President while we toured the Oval Office and learned more about the Clinton Administration’s achievements. After the Library, we found a brewery with Eggs Benedict Pizza, yum! The rain broke, so we headed over to walk around Central High School. It is hard explaining painful history to a 7 year old, especially when what you are saying out loud doesn’t even make sense to you and especially to a girl who deeply cares about everyone. This high school is a reminder we have come a long way but still have a way to go.
