Two Capitols

We started our day in Austin at the Virginia Science and Natural History Museum which is connected to UT. Maggie did a scavenger hunt learning about dinosaurs, native animals to Texas and fashion. We even learned the opossum running around Texas is actually the Virginia Opossum. Who knew?!

When in Austin, you have to pick up a bottle of the just released single barrel picked by Nancy “The Nose” Fraley at Still Austin Distillery.

After traveling south another 1.5 hours, we pulled into our spot at the San Antonio KOA. We enjoyed an amazing Tex-Mex dinner at the Iron Cactus with an after dinner jaunt around the Riverwalk. And of course, ice cream for Maggie before heading back to the campground and another chapter of Harry Potter before bed.
